The best Hungarian television and streaming content of the year was awarded in 16 categories
On the evening of January 28, the Big Picture Awards 2026 were presented at a grand gala held at the Várkert Bazár. The awards recognized outstanding achievements in the television and streaming industry across 16 categories. Once again, the ceremony confirmed that the players of the Hungarian television industry form a single community, working together to produce high-quality content—whether for linear television, digital, or streaming platforms—and jointly shaping the present and future of the Hungarian media market.
The aim of the Big Picture Awards is to provide a comprehensive overview of the most influential works and professionals in the Hungarian television and streaming industry. Established by MEME (the Hungarian Association of Electronic Broadcasters), the award seeks to evaluate creators according to credible and transparent rules and to become one of the industry’s most respected, transparent, and prestigious recognitions.
Csaba Tóth, President of MEME, said at the event:
“The Big Picture Awards aim to honor the most outstanding achievements of the Hungarian television market year after year, encouraging high-quality content production in Hungary. With the establishment of this award, we want to make a key statement: television content creation is an exceptional value. It creates culture. It has impact. It offers shared experiences. It recharges and entertains at the same time.
Our sincere thanks go to the entire industry for its support— a new chapter has opened in the history of Hungarian television and streaming.”
